Step by step

  1. Check if hospice support fits your child's needs

Rainbows supports children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. This includes terminal illness, complex disabilities requiring specialist care, or conditions where families need palliative/comfort care.

  2. Understand what's available

Symptom management, short breaks (respite), end-of-life care, family support, sibling support, and therapies. Care can be at the hospice, hospital, or your home.

  3. Make a referral or ask for one

Professionals (doctors, nurses, social workers) can refer directly. Families can also contact Rainbows to discuss referral routes.

  4. Emergency support

For urgent end-of-life or crisis situations, Rainbows has 24/7 on-call support for emergency referrals.
