Step by step

  1. What they do

    Targeted support for children at risk of serious violence or exploitation; multi-agency working with schools, Youth Justice, PFCC, and CWD/CFSS. Indicators include: frequent missing episodes, multiple phones, unexplained money/gifts, traveling to different areas.

  2. Who can refer

    A young person can self-refer, or a parent, carer or professional can refer. Use the online referral form on the current Northamptonshire Police YVIU page.

  3. Work alongside existing plans

    YVIU complements Early Help, CWD or Child in Need plans–keep your lead professional informed.
