Step by step

  1. Get a written action plan

Ask your GP/asthma nurse for a personalised plan and ensure inhalers/spacers are in date.

  2. Share with school/club

Provide the plan and any spare inhalers. Agree who holds them and when they're checked.

  3. Know your triggers

Pollen, cold air, viruses, exercise: adjust pre-treatment as directed in the plan.

  4. Need advice now?

Call Asthma + Lung UK's helpline weekdays, or use NHS 111 if symptoms worsen.
