If you think your child is being exploited: what to do now

Step by step

Immediate safety

If in danger, call 999. For non-emergency police advice, call 101. Do not meet or message suspected exploiters.
Tell MASH

If there is immediate danger, a child is left alone or missing, call 999. Otherwise contact MASH on 0300 126 7000 and explain why you suspect CCE or CSE; you can also email MASH@nctrust.co.uk. Ask for safeguarding advice or to raise a concern. Do not confront suspected exploiters.
NRM for child victims

Children don't have to consent to an NRM referral. First Responder agencies (e.g., Children's Services) can refer for support and protection.
Local disruption

For violence/gang risk, ask about the Youth Violence Intervention Unit (YVIU) and safety planning.
