Step by step

  1. Getting a wheelchair

    Ask your GP or therapy team for referral to the Northamptonshire Wheelchair Service (Blatchford). NHS wheelchairs are generally for long-term mobility needs (expected >6 months).

  2. Wheelchair repairs

    Blatchford repair line: 01536 511025 (emergency out-of-hours via the same number). Email: cabsl.northamptonshirewheelchairservice@nhs.net.

  3. Community equipment repairs

    For equipment supplied via the council/NHS (e.g., hoists, hospital beds), contact Millbrook Healthcare on 0330 124 1219 for repairs/replacement. Have the equipment ID/serial number ready from the delivery sticker or paperwork.
