Children Act 1989 (s17)
Disabled children are 'children in need'. The council must assess when it appears your child may be in need of services.

Parent carer's needs assessment
Parent carers of disabled children have a right to assessment of their own needs (e.g., s17ZD).

CSDPA 1970 (s2)
If support is 'necessary' following assessment, the council has a duty to provide listed services.

Equality Act 2010 (schools)
Schools must make reasonable adjustments so disabled pupils can access education and activities.
