Step by step

Education law (EHCPs, school issues)

Start with IPSEA or SOS!SEN for trusted legal info, template letters and helplines. If you need formal representation, Coram CLAS may advise or signpost.
Community care & social care rights

For assessments, short breaks, direct payments and disputes about support, use Disability Law Service (DLS) or Coram CLAS for legal advice.
Housing problems or risk of homelessness

If you're at risk of losing your home, contact Community Law Service (Northamptonshire) for early legal advice or court duty support. You can also speak to DLS.
Disability discrimination & equality

For discrimination issues in services/education, contact the Equality Advisory & Support Service (EASS).
If you must attend court without a lawyer

Support Through Court can help with forms, procedures and confidence for hearings. They don't provide legal advice but make the process easier.
