Where we came from
Disabled audiences often had to telephone each theatre, repeat access information and rely on venue-specific hearing equipment or informal companion arrangements. Access could depend on reaching the right person rather than having a clear booking route.
Where we are now
ATG's free Access Membership can store access requirements and evidence, unlock online accessible seating and show eligible concessions. ATG also provides Sennheiser Mobile Connect across its UK venues so live stage audio can reach a visitor's own device, headphones or compatible digital hearing aids.
Where we are heading
Progress means every performance clearly publishes its access features, prices and companion terms before booking, while venues provide consistent digital hearing support and keep non-digital alternatives available for people without a suitable device.

Join the free ATG Access Membership
Register before booking if accessible seating, a concession or an essential companion ticket may be needed. ATG stores agreed access requirements and supporting evidence so they do not have to be explained for every booking.

Provide only the evidence the scheme requires
Use ATG's current joining route and read its evidence guidance. The scheme is for access requirements rather than a diagnosis alone, and ATG says records and evidence are retained for a defined period. Ask the access team if the published route is not accessible to you.

Check the disabled customer's ticket price
ATG says eligible members may receive a concession of up to one third off their own ticket. It is not a fixed discount for every seat or performance: price, allocation and availability vary, and ATG says it cannot retrospectively change a ticket price after purchase.

Do not assume every companion ticket is free
An eligible personal assistant or essential companion may receive a no-additional-cost or reduced ticket, subject to the member's approved requirements, evidence, availability and the venue or production terms. Confirm the exact arrangement before paying.

Prepare Mobile Connect before the show
ATG says all its UK venues offer Sennheiser Mobile Connect over venue Wi-Fi. Bring a charged phone or tablet, install the free app and bring your own wired or compatible wireless headphones, or connect compatible digital hearing aids. This is Mobile Connect, not Auracast.

Look for the right assisted performance
Check the individual production for BSL-interpreted, captioned, audio-described, touch-tour or relaxed performances. Mobile Connect can carry live stage audio and, where offered, audio description; it does not mean every show is captioned, described or interpreted.

Confirm the venue, seat and seller
Read the venue access page and contact its access team about the step-free route, wheelchair positions, toilets, assistance dogs, quiet space and arrival plan. ATG membership conditions apply to ATG-owned or operated venues; third-party venues or ticket sellers can use different terms.
